Love, Angela

What started out as a simple idea of creative self-expression has become an all-consuming passion for Angela Levy, the creative force behind Love, Angela. “I took up jewellery making again when my husband, Tim, was away and I had time on my hands in the evenings. I was once again entranced by the stunning beads and crystals, and the desire to create just took over.”

As a teenager, Angela designed and made her own jewellery and sewed all her own clothes. After a varied career in the corporate world and the theatre, she has returned to her creative roots to design and hand craft this unique and special range of jewellery.

“I use only materials that really speak to me. Kimono fabrics, Austrian Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, Czech fire-polished crystals, porcelain beads, sequins, delicate glass seed beads, pressed glass… We have two small boys, so I often sit up late at night creating, trying different combinations of these gorgeous materials until I get something that feels just right. If I feel tingles, I know I’m on the right track. By designing this way, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. And when I finish a piece, I can’t help but fall in love.”
